FCSAA/Southern Conference Announce All-State/Conference Teams
The Florida State College Activities Association (FCSAA) and Southern Conference announced members of the 2020-2021 All-State and All-Southern Conference teams.
Palm Beach was well represented on each team. Madison Barton was named to the to the All-State team in addition to 1st Team All-Conference team. Barton, one of Palm Beach's top players was recognized by fellow coaches as one of the best hitters in the state. Barton was 3rd in the state with 231 kills & 9th in points per set. Barton finished 30th in the nation in total kills and finished 2nd on the team in DIGS.
The rest of the first team includes first year players Lucy Kraljevic and Laura Fiabane. Kraljevic was one of the more impactful hitters in the Southern Conference. She was a key catalyst in the Panthers' offense and the team really missed her when she missed time with injury. Kraljevic was 14th in the State in kills per set. Fiabane, a freshman transfer from Broward, was one of the top setters in the nation. She finished just outside the top-20 in assists, which placed her 5th in the State.
Panthers named to the All-Conference 2nd Team include Jazmine Sustaita, Baleigh Gillespie, and Kelsie Walker. Sustaita, primarily the team's libero, led the club in DIGS and was just outside the top-10 in the state in that category. Gillespie was top-5 in many statistical categories for the Panthers. Walker, who completed her freshman season at PBSC, was one of the conference's better blockers. Walker was 5th in the State in Assisted Blocks and 8th in the State in Total Blocks.
