Women's Golf Qualifies for NJCAA National Championship
Palm Beach State College's Women's Golf team has earned an at-large spot at the NJCAA National Championship.
In its inaugural season the Lady Panthers find themselves ranked #6 in the country in what is the most competitive District of NJCAA DI Women's Golf. At the District Championships, the team finished 4th while sophomore Liv Romer finished tied for 7th and punched her ticket to the National Championship which is being held in Garden City, KS May 11-14. This will be Romer's final tournament for the Panthers as she is moving forward to join the Southern Mississippi Women's Golf Team this fall.
Coach Bond-Philo says,"I am so proud of this first season. This is a very competitive District and to have improved the way did throughout the year is something we will be able to build upon with the incoming class of recruits."
The Panthers had an impressive first season back as they won the Jefferson State Invitational in Jefferson, AL. Liv Romer also had numerous top 10 finishes this spring, in addition to her 7th place finish at the District Championship.
