For the 2nd time this season, and 3rd time overall under Head Coach Maureen Smith, the Panthers women's basketball team has held a team scoreless for a quarter. This time however, it was the whole 2nd half that the Panthers didn't allow DME Academy to score.
The Panthers went into halftime with a 35-19 lead. The Panthers turned up the defensive intensity in the 2nd half. The Panthers forced 23 of the 34 turnovers that DME had in the 2nd half. DME went 5-41 from the field from the game.
Every single Panther scored in contributing to the total team effort on Friday night.
The Panthers are back home this week with home games versus Florida SW on February 15th at 5:30pm and Hillsborough on February 18th at 2pm.
