Men's Golf Finishes 8th at NJCAA Championship
Palm Beach State College men's golf turned in a strong performance at the Sand Creek Station event, finishing eighth overall in a nationally competitive field featuring all of the top-ranked NJCAA programs in the country. The Panthers climbed three spots during the tournament and concluded play at 61-over-par.
Palm Beach State competed against 10 nationally ranked programs during the four-round event, gaining valuable experience against elite national competition.
The Panthers were led by Nathan Wong, who delivered one of the top individual performances of the tournament for Palm Beach State. Wong finished tied for 32nd overall at 15-over-par and closed the event with an impressive final-round 69, shooting three-under-par for the day. Armando Garcia also finished strong, tying for 57th overall at 23-over-par after carding a two-under-par 70 in the final round.
Peter Le Gassick added a steady performance for the Panthers, finishing tied for 44th overall at 18-over-par. Carter Brooks placed 60th overall at 24-over-par, while Adin McMaster rounded out the Palm Beach State lineup in 68th place.
Palm Beach State showed resilience throughout the tournament, improving its standing during the final rounds and competing well against one of the toughest fields on its schedule. The Panthers will look to build on the momentum and experience gained at Sand Creek Station as they continue towards next season.
