8 Men's and Women's Basketball Players Earn Place on All-Southern Conference Teams
Eight Men's and Women's Basketball players earned a nomination to the All-Southern Conference first and second teams.
Southern Conference coaches vote for both teams. Each coach is allowed to nominate up to 10 players for each team, omitting their own players.
For the second straight season, Izzy Allen was named to the All-Southern Conference First Team. Joining her on the Women's side are Reagan Hune and Vendela af Malmborg. On the Men's side, Khalil Turner earns a First Team All-Southern Conference bid as well. Hune, af Malmborg, and Turner are first time recipients of All-Southern Conference nominations.
Second Teamers include Caleese Ramirez and Alyssa Herder on the Women's side and on the Men's, Phillip Smith and Matthew Allman. Ramirez earns the nod for the 2nd Team All-Conference for the 2nd year in a row. Herder, Smith, and Allman all qualified for the 2nd Team for the first time.

1st Team All-Southern Conference
- Izzy Allen - Averaged 11.4 PPG and 7.3 RPG in 16 games played in 2021.
- Vendela af Malmborg - Averaged just under 9 points per game and shot 85% on FT attempts.
- Reagan Hune - Led the team in scoring and finished with 11.6 PPG. Was 2nd on the team with 6.2 RPG.
- Khalil Turner - Averaged 12.6 points per game while appearing 20 games for the Panthers. He led the Panthers in scoring and rebounds.
2nd Team All-Southern Conference
- Matthew Allman - Finished 3rd in on the team averaging just shy of 9 points per game in 21 games played. A deadly shooter, Matthew hit nearly 50% of his field goal attempts and shot 45% from beyond the arc.
- Alyssa Herder - Made a whopping 57% of her shots and was one of the leading rebounders on the team.
- Caleese Ramirez - One of the top 3-point shooters in the State, Caleese was top-10 for 3-point shots made.
- Phillip Smith - Finished 2nd on the team in both scoring and rebounds. He averaged 9.8 points per game in 18 games played. Smith had 11 games of 10+ points.
