Fall & Winter Sports Moved to Spring Term
Lake Worth, FL - The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) announced on Monday evening that the majority of Fall & Winter sports will move to the Spring Term of the 2020-2021 school year.
For PBSC, men's and women's basketball, as well as court volleyball, will see their seasons postponed until January 2021. There will be no regular season competition for PBSC for the remainder of 2020. The updated plan of action for each sport is as follows:
Volleyball
- Regular season practice will be permitted to begin starting January 11, 2021.
- Regular season competition will be permitted to begin starting January 29, 2021.
- Maximum of 21 competition dates.
- All regular season, region, and district competition completed by April 3, 2021.
- NJCAA Volleyball Championships held April 15-17, 2021.
Men's & Women's Basketball
- Regular season practice will be permitted to begin starting January 11, 2021.
- Regular season competition will be permitted to begin starting January 22, 2021.
- Maximum of 22 games.
- All regular season, region, and district championship competition completed by April 10, 2021.
- NJCAA Men's & Women's Basketball Championships beginning April 19, 2021.
Baseball will compete in regular season contests starting January 22, 2021.
In what promises to be a very interesting Spring schedule, all sports will be competing at the same time during the Spring semester for the first time in PBSC history.
