Lake Worth, FL -- Softball drops both games of their double-header against Eastern Florida, 10-1 & 14-1.
In game #1, the Panthers fell behind 5-0 before scoring their 1st run in the bottom of the 4th. A 4-run top of the 5th put the game out of reach and the "run rule" was enforced at the end of the inning.
In game #2, Destiny Cornelius got the start for the Panthers but Eastern Florida came out firing on all cylinders. Several hard-hit balls found their way to the outfield and Eastern Florida took an early 4-0 lead in the 1st inning.
After a scoreless bottom of the 1st, Eastern Florida went back to work on offense, pounding out 4 hits, and reaching base by a hit-by-pitch and error, before lining into an inning-ending double play at 3rd.
With the game already 7-0 after 2, Eastern Florida poured it on, putting 6 runs on the board to put the game well out of hand. Game #1 starter Sydney Kadur came on in relief of Cornelius to finish off the game.
